COMPACT & LIGHT-INTENSE MIRROR TELESCOPE
The DÖRR Sirius 150 is a light-intense but still compact Newton reflector telescope for ambitious hobby astronomers but also for beginners who are looking for a telescope that you will enjoy for many years. With the Sirius 150 the way to astrophotography is also open.
The classical Newton reflector telescope is equipped with a parabolic mirror and provides sharp and detailed images without colour aberration. With a focal length of 750 mm and a large objective diameter of 150 mm, the reflector telescope achieves a light intensity of 1:5. With the supplied eyepieces and the 2-times Barlow lens, you can achieve magnifications from 30x to a maximum of 238x.
INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE:
STURDY EQ3 EQUATORIAL MOUNT
The EQ3 equatorial mount, also called parallactic mount, consists of 2 axes: the pole or hour axis (right ascension) and the declination axis for setting the coordinates of the object being observed. The mount is also equipped with flexible tracking shafts for fine adjustment of the two axes. A counterweight on the declination axis balances the telescope.
For comfortable observations, the height of the aluminium tripod can be adjusted according your demands. During your observations, your telescope stands stable and vibration-free on the tripod. The triangular plate not only provides more stability, but also serves as a storage area.
FINDER SCOPE 6X30
Before actually observing, use the finder scope to easily locate and target the celestial bodies.
In the Kellner eyepieces, the crystalline lens is an achromatic double lens that shows hardly any chromatic aberration and the curvature of the field of view is also greatly reduced. Face distance approx. 40° and almost free of distortion. Plössl eyepieces form a lens system consisting of two almost symmetrical achromatic doublets. Own field of view between 40° and 50°. Included in delivery:
1x K6,3 Kellner eyepiece with a magnification 119x
1x PL10 Plössl eyepiece with a magnification of 100x
1x PL25 Plössl eyepiece with a magnification of 30x
ACHROMATIC BARLOW LENS 2-TIMES (PHOTO ADAPTER)
With the supplied achromatic Barlow lens 2x you double the magnification factor of the eyepieces. It can be used as a photo adapter also. In connection with a T2 adapter (optionally available from DÖRR), you can connect your SLR or system camera to the telescope.
TIPS & TRICKS
Further technical properties of the telescope can be found on the SPECIFICATIONS tab. On the DOWNLOAD tab you will also find useful tips & tricks to help you use your astronomical telescope.
• NEVER look directly at or near the sun through the telescope or finder scope! There is a risk this could cause blindness!
• The telescope is not a toy! Children must not use the telescope without adult supervision.
